What is Format Free?
Usually, when data is being recorded on a memory card, it is allocated to an empty space. Once the memory card is full, new driving videos overwrite the old ones. After a certain point, the data can no longer fill the spaces, and videos become fragmented. In order to prevent corruption of the memory card, it is recommended that users format it every 2 weeks. The I9 comes with Format Free Technology by using a real-time recording method (TAT function). So, users no longer need to format their memory card regularly.
Function of TAT file system:
- Save last 1 second recording file stable before power is cut off so that internal battery or supercap is not required – reducing field defects.
- No need to format SD card periodically and extends SD card lifetime.
- Protect your privacy by blocking playback in a public media player.
- Easily convert TAT files to standard AVI files in the bundled PC viewer.
